THE BRIEF
When Beauty Garden approached us, they had a vision of a sanctuary—a beauty destination that felt both luxurious and like a second home. Their existing identity needed to be refined into a cohesive system that could:
Articulate a clear, mission-driven brand voice.
Visually echo the serene, natural aesthetic of their physical space.
Position them as the premier, sustainable beauty choice in YYC.
Lay a scalable foundation for future growth.
VISUAL IDENTITY
The visual identity was inspired directly by Beauty Garden's interiors and its serene palette and overall elevated yet close knit experience within the space.
Logo & Emblem: We created a primary logo lock-up that pairs their elegant cursive script with a new, complementary serif typeface for balance. A custom emblem—a subtle, abstract nod to a budding flower within a circle—was introduced as a versatile mark for social media and merchandise.
Color Palette: The palette is drawn from the earth-toned tranquility of the space itself:
Fern Green: Connecting directly to the "garden" theme and natural elements.
Warm Stone & Deep Charcoal: Providing a grounded, high-end neutral base.
Typography: A high-end magazine serif font establishes authority and elegance. It is paired with an italic variant for contrast, adding a touch of feminine flair and motion to the storytelling.
THE WEBSITE
The brand identity was brought to life through a comprehensive 12-page website designed for growth and discovery. Truly a visual sanctuary for beauty lovers.
Design Aesthetic: The site is visuals-heavy, featuring a mix of editorial-style imagery. We used earthy tone shots edited in black and white to convey timelessness, interspersed with strategic color shots that pop against the neutral palette.
Strategic Structure: The sitemap was built for both user experience and SEO, ensuring core services like Hair, Skin, Nailcare, and Waxing & Tinting are searchable and crawlable, capturing local search traffic that was being missed.
Future-Proofed: The architecture includes a hidden location dropdown, ready for Beauty Garden's planned expansion, and a full CMS was implemented for easy in-house management.
Copywriting & Messaging: The copy across all touch points is crafted to be elevated yet approachable. It celebrates the artistry of the services while fostering an inclusive, community-driven atmosphere. We highlighted their unique position by weaving their commitment to sustainability and bespoke experiences into the core narrative, making it clear why Beauty Garden is more than just a salon—it's a destination.
